Our Team

Marvyn Arévalo Avalos, Ph.D.

Marvyn Arévalo Avalos, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley focused on digital mental health, and a faculty associate at Arizona State University. His work centers on developing culturally responsive digital interventions to support the mental health of underserved communities, especially Latinx youth. He earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from ASU and completed his clinical training at the University of Maryland. Marvyn brings a strong background in community-based behavioral health and a deep commitment to health equity in both research and practice.

Luis Fernando De Pombo

Luis Fernando De Pombo, is a computer scientist from UC Berkeley and previously helped build large-scale software systems at companies like Uber early on. He was the founder of two VC-backed companies and went through Y Combinator in 2018. Today, he's focused on creating simple, thoughtful tools that help people better understand themselves like Innerly, a digital journal with a focus on privacy and AI guided reflections.
